Child Care and Learning

At Hearthstone Early Learning Center, our teachers are enthusiastic about helping your child get the best possible start in learning. Our teachers use the Creative Curriculum which is based on accepted practices of child development and the latest brain research. This curriculum is designed to help each child acquire the skills, knowledge and behaviors for optimal physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth. The Creative Curriculum allows for individualization of activities to meet each child’s needs and adheres to the guidelines to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Infants

HELC accepts infants at six weeks of age. We provide an environment that is bright, cheerful and stimulating where we will nurture and care for your child. Our caregivers use a hands-on approach to child care and work closely with parents to provide consistency between home and the center.

Toddlers

Toddlers are provided lots of support and love as they investigate their growing world. Walking, running, climbing, sharing and making friends are all new experiences for the developing toddler. We are there to provide a safe, clean, nurturing environment where your toddler can excel.

Preschool

Our custom curriculum is the key to our preschool program. We focus on the developmental enhancement of individual learning through enriching experiences.

Children from two to five years old are ready to develop their social skills. With our guidance children learn to make friends, settle conflicts and to interact with their classmates.

Kindergarten Care

Morning and afternoon kindergarten care is available, as well as transportation to and from school. Care is also provided on "no-school" days.

After-School and Summer Programs

HELC offers after-school and summer programs for children ages 6 - 12, including on "no-school" days.

Summer programs feature weekly field trips and excursions such as museums, parks, swimming and roller-skating.

Before and after-school care is available as well as transportation to and from area schools.

HELC is licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, and is a United Way Member Agency.
